BV Scroll Art began as nothing more than a hobby. Several years ago, founder Bruce Vanderpool was given a gift card with which he obtained his first scroll saw. In his spare time, he learned the art of crafting intricate pieces for the purpose of giving them away as gifts to friends and family.  As the pieces grow in detail and intricacy, several people suggested to create a business out of it - thus BV Scroll Art was created.

BV Scroll Art is a privately owned-family business that crafts ordinary and extraordinary wood into beautiful works of art.  The secret to the beauty of our scroll art is that none of our pieces are fabricated by computer, laser, or automated systems.  Every single piece is created by hand using a scroll saw.

Since the very beginning, Bruce has always had a desire to create something beautiful out of something ordinary or even tragic.  One of the many things that makes BV Scroll Art different is that we never cut down live trees to create our pieces.  Instead, all of the pieces are crafted from dead wood obtained in Colorado's infamous Hayman Fire burn area.  Not only are we preventing this precious wood from going to waste, but we are taking a piece of tragic history and making it beautiful and available for anyone to buy.
