Scene Naturally (Divide, Colorado)

Photographer

Scene Naturally was founded in July 2005, with a goal of presenting and preserving the natural beauty seen on a daily basis in our surroundings.  It is my belief that this beauty is sufficient unto itself, without need to enhance color, contrast or composition.  As a retired history teacher, I hope to capture moments in time that reliably depict the human experience with our environment.

My parents gave me my first camera at the age of seven, a 17.5 mm HIT, considered a toy by many, but inspirational to me.  Black and white scenes of the sand dunes by Lake Michigan were my first engagement with nature’s magic.  Throughout the years, I have enjoyed models by Kodak, Polaroid, Minolta, Pentax, Olympus, and Canon.  My photographic journey has taken me to three continents and 49 of the 50 states to enjoy forests, lakes, oceans, mountains, and wild life.

Currently, my note cards and matted and/or framed photographs are displayed in the Mountain Arts Gallery, Woodland Park, Colorado.  Patrons supporting Scene Naturally reside in Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.  Inquiries and orders may be made through scenenaturally@skybeam.com.
