Painting is, for me, a vehicle for personal growth, not only in technique, but in examining the world around me and my response to that world. The intense joy that comes from completely losing myself in the painting process is a powerful experience in and of itself. And when the finished painting resonates with another person, there is a joy and sense of communion that is very satisfying.
An award winning painter, Sally Ann Wilson is a member of the Mountain Artists, the Colorado Watercolor Society, the Pikes Peak Plein Air Painters, and is a signature member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society. Her major painting instructors have been Tom Owen, Taffy Mulliken and Carol Myers.
Sally Ann holds a Master of Music Degree from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City where she studied art history with faculty from Columbia University. She has performed and toured nationally and internationally with various orchestras and chamber ensembles. Sally Ann is currently on the music faculty of Pikes Peak Community College.
